EMERGENCE

Share

In the future of the future of the future, video games still exist. But aesthetics have reverted to the early aughts. Enter a game that's a Frankenstein monster of Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Solid, X-Men, and Halo...about a cyborg and telepathic teen, enter

"EMERGENCE"

This idea stemmed from the aspect that my personal project, "Future Faith", has a lot of 2000s imagery. But a lot of that imagery comes from pop, urban, and club centric media. Fun, cute, and colorful. In the universe of FF, media is just an advanced version of 2000s media. Meaning dark, angsty stuff similar to Devil May Cry or Halo or Metal Gear Solid would exist. I vision my main characters to grab this game and play it over a weekend break. I wanted to make a fake game that felt so jarring to an outsider, so I thought of a cyborg soldier teaming up with a black kid with psychic powers. Something that feels as weird as a lot of games from the 6th generation console era to even now in some cases.

I used Bing's AI generator to ideate the characters then redesigned them for my personal tastes. Thanks to bad faith actors and obnoxious people, the conversation about AI has become too messy. So just know, I'm not into the gross and shady "get rich quick and destroy jobs" mentality.

Yknow a setting like this i would and watch and play it. Unfortunately it mogs on most of the game slop that get shat out today, you would think youd get more games like this instead of DOA like Concord.
Push out more like these. I want something like this to be more prevalent. Its cool.
