Scrambles The Death Dealer

Share

I wasn't sure if I wanted to upload this or not since it was a personal comfort piece.

In the beginning of January my husband and I had gotten the news from our vet that Scrambles, our beloved rabbit of almost 9 years had a tumor so large that it had taken up space in most of her bladder. Her quality of life was deteriorating slowly and we had to make one of the hardest decisions of our lives. After much reflection we had to put her down to end her suffering.

If you're at all familiar with rabbits especially ones as old as she was there was really nothing else that could have been done. Surgery was out of the question since she would most likely pass under the anesthetic.

She wasn't just a rabbit to us but a large part of our lives. She was there for our wedding, life changing moves, and many other milestones positive and negative.

I miss her everyday because on most days she was the reason I would get out of bed.

We both loved her so very much.

I felt it would be alright to share this here since I've had nothing but positive interactions so far with the community and I'm really happy to be a part of a place so accepting.

Scrambles was so very tough, accepting of new friends, and full of nothing but love.

Rest in Peace my little angel
