Initial description:

"Just needed one more drawing of that "other crocodilian", this time in this lit DJ attire that I still very much remember seeing in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle (which is apparently renamed as "Racing Battle" upon checking?). I may have completely missed the event, embarrassingly enough. I very much used to play that game a lot during breaks, with matches and unlocking characters and all that fun stuff. Up until my phone (an Android) fell off my pocket into a pond during a rainy weather as I was rushing with my bestie to the bus station after we left college 4 years ago (this was after I unlocked Super Sonic and... didn't exactly consider backing up stuff yet). I wasn't particularly upset surprisingly enough, because I was already gifted with a new phone (this time being an iPhone) by another very good friend of mine shortly after, although I can't say I wasn't bummed about the loss. Granted after that, my interest in mobile games just kind of vanished after I got more invested in college as well as getting a switch, so that at least explains about missing events. That is until I downloaded that app again just for nostalgia... which is dumb because the app isn't even that old. Maybe more for curiosity's sake, I suppose.

I gotta admit, I got pretty distracted after I started working on this. Plenty of activities, besides house duties and hefty cleaning, were mostly spent in city trips, binging movies and such. Usually with my brother or solo. Also some that are sports related, typically training, since there's a terrain nearby. Just trying to be in tip top shape and all.

And besides, this was supposed to be another quickie until it just became a full art piece. There have been like two challenges. The first being in figuring out the proper pose. I sketched a bunch of poses that have not once alligned well until landing on this. Can't say it's "the one", but it's good enough. The second challenge is of course, thinking what the background would be. I looked up all kinds of references that where usually related to the music tech aesthetics ( although leaning more towards LED displays, sound bars and other wavy visualizations). I very much went out of my way to make a compilation of these visuals as I maintained the theme associated with Vector (which is just keeping the color green really, with few minor exceptions, although I did technically base these from his ingame items). Daunting, but very fun in making it, which funnily enough, makes one of my favourites. Even more funnily enough, I used to be entraced to this kind of stuff as a kid, so in a way, it's almost personal.

Hope you enjoy.

...oh yeah, about that app, kind of stopped playing it afterwards since it was getting ridlled with CPUs everywhere. Ah well, at least there are better alternatives.

Another Cami "quickie" huh? I can only imagine how intricate and detailed a non-quickie work of your art would become. Thinking something on the level of the Sistine Chapel but with Vector reaching out to Wario surrounded by hens.

I saw your Vector and thought "He's so fucking cool!" Decided to look up DJ Vector's official artwork from the game and... it's alright. I was more enthralled by the anger-looking cat girl in a Chinese dress. I guess you picked out a far better pose for him than Sega did. Maybe they need to look into having character-specific enthusiasts like yourself provide art for future games.

This seems like the perfect background choice... the, uh, CGA green monochrome displays from, like the 80s, I think? Yeah, I can see the appeal in that for a kid nowadays. My grandparents and great grandparents had all sorts of stuff that I never saw elsewhere growing up, so I became "entraced" at the sight of classic/metal toys, straw/cotton decorations, and furniture pieced together with slots and pegs rather than just glued and nailed.

The CPU problem was a thing with Mario Kart Tour, too. People don't wanna go online to play against AI.

What kind of croc hangs out in back passages around town?

An Alley-gator.
