Hey man. Sorry for the loonnnnng delay in replying to you but I see what you are talking about. Perhaps my shading is a but to two dimensional. Great job on yours though.

I drew this as a test for the detail and smoothness I could put into shading. took a good long while but it came out as one of my best works at the time.
Looking at it again for the first time in over a year, I could have done the nose and eyelashes better, but you know what they say about hindsight.
My newer works reflect my lessons learned on this piece, greatly improving the quality of my contour shading.
