Cubist Portrait of Ninja

As the title says; a cubistic portrait of the Art Forum Ninja Big-Jonny-13. Made especially for chow 36.
Im quite glad with this. Im trying to expand my use of colors; and even though they are pale; there are some cool colors in this one.

[I understand that it is very bright/light/faint; thats the way it is. Im sorry if this ruins it for you; for me its an integral part of this particular drawing. I might make more drawings like this though, and I promise they will be less bright]

A bit too white

I love white, and white on white drawings always have a soft spot with me, but this one is too light. The details aren't intricate enough to warrant the effort put into seeing the actual image. The shapes are too broad and large and make it difficult to really distinguish anything worth while. The paleness of the colors doesn't help either because they don't seem to make any actual sense. Even if they were saturated. I think working with more muted, not just lightened colors would lend itself better to an ephemeral piece. Good effort though trying something that most are afraid to do.

J-qb responds:

Thanks. I agree with all your points. A lot of this was just practicing new stuff, like you said doing stuff others might be afraid to do. I sacrificed some esthetics in sake of the techniques etc. Thanks for the thought out review!.

*squints*

=.=

I think I see something. *leans to the side and looks at it from different angle*

Holy crap! It's Jason Voorhees! O.O

J-qb responds:

Actually its Big-jonny-13, but yeah it is the jason mask, glad you could make it out.

Hmm

I can see what it is, but very faintly

J-qb responds:

Look hard; art isnt always supposed to be easy to look at;
Thanks for the review
