Anime Role Reversal BDSM Play work; Clip Studio Paint Sketch, Ink, & Color, Photoshop Blur Effect
Sayuri decides that Pierre deserves a different kind of reward, and willing gives up control to her slave, who obediently follows his master's wishes. But despite her apparent submissiveness, with her powers of dominance over (almost all) men, who is really in control?
The little known Superhero parody 'Dokkoida?!' has always been a gem of a series since I watched it spontaneously years ago. A ridiculous premise, zany characters, and jokes and tropes from start to finish, all wrapped up with an impossible happy ending, it's a shame it is relegated to obscurity.
Over the years I have done works that show that I am a fan of the 'bad girls' getting the DiD treatment just as much as the 'good girls', and I have always had an affinity for the idea of a sexy dominatrix being submissive or being rendered so. And given the relationship between these two characters, it seemed the perfect opportunity to explore this idea and also give props to this little-known show, as well as covering a part of the kink that I usually don't do - a consensual scene.
Scene: I was looking to show an onscreen tying process, while giving some thought to foreshadowing things possibly yet to come after the image of the picture takes place. I took the background from an actual episode and altered to fit the scene and angle. I used a slight blur effect to try and mimic an actual TV screen capture. Backgrounds in Anime are generally softer than the characters themselves, so I used a mix of soft and cel shading, gradients, and colored line art to best reproduce from the show.
Sayuri Yurine (Hyacinth): I played around with several positions, most of them kneeling, before agreeing that a forward leaning kneel with arms behind (like a kneeling strappado) seemed like a good way to show just about all of her assets, while reinforcing the idea that the position she is being tied in is pretty submissive. I was going more for an expression of looking behind herself and smirking, as if she was getting into the play session, yet retaining her usual nature. The wavy hair is easier than usual Anime hair but still difficult to replicate, and I always struggle with shading and highlighting of shiny clothing, which in this case is likely latex.
Pierre: This guys's proportions and overall look are just plain weird, I struggled with keeping him on model but did the best I could, including the rectangular 'smug' eyes. The upper half of his position seemed easy, but I did have to actually sketch out the hidden (lower) half with his torso and legs, as otherwise I couldn't seem to place his visible leg and foot since he is also kneeling, in this case behind Sayuri. Shading and highlighting of his character in the show is generally very scant, so for once my lack of enough of both may actually be ok.
Enjoy!
