I made this piece for the draw with Jazza art contest, i had a difficult time finding the time to look for any "untradiitional" media for this. So what i did was i sketched out the idea first a couple different times i didn't think about the darker toned paper until after my third sketch thinking it would work better to emphasize the fire and highlights. When it was time to find the different media i mostly used some highlighters and tape i had lying around, i figured i could use the tape for the water and the highlighters for the eyes and fire. Then when i went to find colors for the rest i used a bunch of various markers i had (TouchFive, Copic, Faber-castelll for the white, I even used some fabric pens for some of the line work (the white didn't work very well on the paper but the black did for large solid lines.)
