Not bad, espexially if it's realy one of your first works. The soot/ash looks a bit too dense with too big particles of too pure shape, almost symmetrical, wich is impossible, I can say that as someone who sees burning houses quite frequently.

This is my very first submission in this platform... and any art platform, really. This is also one of my first digital art pieces. I hope you guys like it!
This is a veteran-soldier-type character, feeling the cold wind and the ashes of what used to be a/his city/village... maybe. Give it any significance you'd like. :D

Thanks! I'll take those aspects into consideration. This is more of an experimental piece, but you can expect more and better stuff from me later on.
