The born leader ox sits on his throne with dragon engravings, wearing the tail of a rabbit. Above him stands the cat and the rat ready to fight because the rat didn't wake him up. On the throne holds up two jade eggs, one of which is hatching a baby chick.The ox's loyal dog sits with him as the horse and the pig carry him off into some unknown space. Above in the sky are the constellations for the ram, the lion, and monkey

It made me turn my head a few times, thinking there was something hidden in the pic O:
And I want my Monkey :< Maybe you can draw a monkey on the left side behind the ox's throne, carrying something.. The Ram can stand on the other side.
Oh, and I see no dragon :O Maybe you mistook it with lion?
This art is good though. Not a hint of cold color, I love it. Especially the face of the ox, he looks a bit silly XD

I love the story you're telling here. Is this the traditional mythology behind the chinese zodiac, or did you tweak the story a little bit? Im an ox, so it'd be cool to think of myself as the "Born leader" haha... Anyway, great work! I'm Faving this!

Nope this is pretty much the original story. The Ox is said to be a born leader, but also kind of demanding and materialistic, which is why the ox is wearing such extravagant clothing :)! BUT YOU'RE DETERMINED MY FRIEND!!! :)

actually its a dog... the chinese zodiac characterizes people born under the zodiac as loyal and easy going, yet lazy which is why I drew him laying down with the ox emperor
