A thing I posted just on Twitter on December 31st, 2020. That year sure was a thing, huh? I had no idea it would take on such an ironic twist when I was working on this in late 2019. Of course by then, COVID was a known quantity, but it felt half the world away, both literally and figuratively. Yet, I had high hopes at the time. I had just begun to colour stuff again after a lapse of what felt like a lifetime. Then COVID came to Canada, then my computer hard drive died and took a bunch of my colouring progress with it and it felt like the whole world was against me. But life goes on, and I began again and they're here on my various accounts. What I like about this one (besides the dark humour of hindsight) is the complete opposite personalities these two characters have: the bubbly optimistic Christina and the dour, cynical pessimistic Ute. Plus, they're cute in this style.
Ah well, I hope everyone is staying safe. One vaccination down, the next one is scheduled for the end of the summer. Trusting the process.
