Rexy, don't hurt 'em

A more accurate T. Rex than I usually draw.

A seven ton, mostly naked, parakeet, basically.

Ohhh what a cutie!!! <3 I wanna see it hop around like a parakeet too!

Kidgalactus responds:

That's some noisy hopping, to be sure!

You know, I hear people in the 90's used to complain about feathered dinos being hard to take seriously, but looking at mostly naked dinos I usually wind up tinking they'd look livelier with at least some multicolored scales for covering, if not those lil' throat sacs like turkeys and chickens have (whose names I could not find for the life of me) or feathers.

I'm well aware I'm nitpicking, as this is already a lovely lad- and I know not all dinos are thought to have had feathers, with T. Rexes are among those, but I still mantain some stripes would look nice!

Kidgalactus responds:

Haha, people still complain about it now!

I do agree mostly that dinos with no integuement look like plucked chickens, but as far as I know, a full coat for this seven ton fella is unlikely for temperature reasons. I imagine he has little sprouts, the way an elephant has hairs, though. Plus eyelashes! That's cool, right?

I did think about doing some dappled striping Also, but wanted to focus on the anatomy this time.

Anatomically correct T Rexes are simultaneously absolutely adorable and completely terrifying to me. So chonky yet so sharpp

Kidgalactus responds:

King of tyrant chonks!
