I was also reminded of a Pokemon when I saw this. It wasn't Typhlosion, though. I looked up the Pokemon in question and, what do you know? This is Heatmor. It's not that it looks like Heatmor, it IS Heatmor. All you did was recolor it, extend the ridge on its back and give it a bat. Don't believe me? Just look at it's game sprite. (Replace spaces with dots)

I see where you are coming from, but ultimately they are both based on anteaters and the pokemon designer and me arrived at similar body shapes.
