Dave Benton and Lucy = @KobaltSteel
Another picture of Dave, this time with Lucy the Pig, wondering what "That Guy" is doing again... who is "that guy?" Probably Jerry... again... you know he's weird. Lucy has a refined design, with the Sally Acorn haircut... I think that looks good on her, will keep it!
So, I decided that I want to expand the friend dynamic between Max, Dave, Jerry, and now Lucy... I feel that the gay relationship between Max and Dave would be stronger and more impactful when put in the context of them being a part of a strong friend group, akin to something like the Goonies or the Sandlot Kids, with them being long-time childhood friends who did stupid stuff all the time, complete with goofy nicknames! Appropriate to this, Dave would be nicknamed "Shell" because of his shell + he's a bit hard-headed at times, and Lucy would be nicknamed "Cannon" because of her stubbornness, fiery temper, and ability to fight.
They're still a friend group in their adult years, but because they're adults, things are changing a lot for all of them and unexpected events happen that impact their friendships, which would include Dave falling in love with Max... which, of course, would come with all sorts of things attached. I'll elaborate on this later, but I wanted to highlight that right now.
Aside from that, I decided to make some minor adjustments to Lucy's personality... I think, for the sake of how the friend dynamic works, there should be more emphasis on Lucy's athleticism, strength, and tomboy nature; she'll be more stubborn, more confrontational, and would be far more hot-blooded. She'll also have more masculine interests, such as actually being an athlete and wrestler, and is also able to fight and kick butt... kind-of like Max (which he CAN do), but Lucy is WAY more willing to fight people, especially anyone who crosses her.
Oh, and I'm going to change her name to "Lucia Rodriguez," to add a little more culture diversity to the cast, to make it a little more exciting... plus, I also want to just want to rip apart the idea of the "Spicy Latina" archetype; the whole existence of her is to show the male lead "taming" her, as like some trophy, right? So, let's NOT do that; just have her be herself, uninhibited and "untamed" and can't really be tamed, and just carving her own place in the world
