Fiel & Junolipess: Bone Hunting on Acwellus

Share

Fiel and Junolipess, two immortals deeply in love, shown here on the surface of the planet Acwellus on the hunt for fossils of bygone creatures to add to Fiel’s ever-expanding collection of fossilized relics.

Acwellus is a ringed, ocean world with no intelligent race inhabiting it, only animals of lesser brain power live there on small, suitable islands jutting out from the ocean, but the most abundant life here is found in the world’s violet waters, the life growing here having sprouted fruitfully solely from the light of the rings, as Acwellus orbits a massive Torus planet, not a star. The worlds seen in the sky beside Fiel are also uninhabited but are full of lesser-minded life forms. The brown and blue world is a satellite of Acwellus, and so is the more distant, gray one, and they are known as Sivlo and Lo’Potomod respectively.

As seen in the red rock landscape in the drawing, there are small tower-like protrusions from the rocks themselves, and they appear to be naturally occurring. They are natural but they are built by tiny insect-like creatures that resemble a mix between Earthling termites and crabs, and underneath these towers are hives of the creatures, hidden within the red rocks. Strangely, these creatures have a mysterious, almost artful, hobby where they stack tiny pebbles on top of each other on the tops of their towers, their reasoning is unknown.
