Here's another picture of my mermaid OC Mermay to celebrate the titular Mermay, the month where the trendy artists draw lots of mermaid pictures!
Mermaids are underwater creatures, so can only survive outside of the water for a brief time. They sometimes come up to the surface when a ship is passing, in order to lure nearby sailors with their beauty. Mermaids enjoy bonding with humans see... where else do you think half-mermaids come from? Unlike full-blooded mermaids like Mermay, half-mermaids can survive above water permanently, though they can't walk far due to their fishy lower-body!
