Nian Zhen is viewed as "weird" by others in Ashtonville, Canada. (Ashtonville is the fictional suburban town where Nian Zhen takes place.) The reason why others view Nian Zhen as weird is because she dresses in alt fashion (still haven’t decided on what alt fashion exactly.). Not only that, but she also "talks funny". Nian Zhen talks rather differently than many Canadians. No one knows why? Some find it funny, while others find it annoying. Nevertheless, Nian Zhen doesn’t care about what others think of her. She has friends after all. Even then, her friends have a hard time understanding her at times.
