I did this piece as an exploration of style, and I modeled it after the type of rendering that Gustave Dore was known for. I feel like I did pretty well, but there are a few areas i'll admit I need to work on.

I was lured here to this pic by that flag, since if the cross in it was blue, it would be the flag of Finland :P
Well yeah, Gustave Dore is epic, but this is quite nice exploration too. I'm a big fan of Dore's style and I have tried to apply it to my own works (although not completely) and I insist that you push onward on these experiments. Use more detail, more time & effort, more patience and well have a solid gold nugget.
