Pretty Little Things
The muse for this series of paintings is the Double Barred Finch, a delicate little bird with a beautiful face. Not the flashiest most colourful or loudest creature amongst us, they wear beige pants and a brown coat. They represent the small things in life that make me smile and feel wonderment. Because of our busy lifestyles we (the humans) tend to rush our way through life and these pretty little things get ignored or worse forgotten. Next time you see something in the corner of your eye, slow down and have a peek you might be surprised who is looking back.
