Day 28 is one part continuation, and one part of another cowboy piece: Man. This here is The Ranger, a younger version of Day 13's piece. The notable change about him was how he handles his gun... Which he mains the lefty.

A brief backstory: This Ranger before he became "The Ranger," was formerly an outlaw. A henchman for a gang known as Snake Eyes, who did the usual outlaw antics: Robbing banks, shoot people, and eventually sabotaging a train by blowing up a bridge. When he met a woman named Jenny during the heist, he has to make a choice: Betray his gang to meet the girl he had a crush, or continue and kill her & a few more innocents? He chose the former, broke free of the passenger cart & the running train, and then destroy the bridge, along with his leader in it.

Yes, it seems rough, but that's what the brief is.
