"Who is that man I see, staring straight back at me? When will my reflection show, THE COWBOY INSIDE?"
My contribution for the Overwatch Tarot card project! I was assigned 6 of Swords which represents "regretful but necessary transition, rite of passage" (upright) and "cannot move on, carrying baggage" (reverse).
For Mccree this means young Jesse confronting his past as a member of the Dead lock gang, his transition into a mercenary of Black Watch, and his ultimate future as a member of Overwatch. It is a tumultuous path he takes (echoed by the prickly cactus at his back, and the skull within view), but the transitions in his life are an important part of what makes Jesse Mccree who he is today.
