Greedy Dragon or Protective Mother?

Digital piece created in Procreate. I am very new to digital art but have been doing traditional art for over a year now. This piece in an entry into Jazza’s Under The Surface challenge of the month. My piece represents what we typically think of when we see a dragon hoarding gold, but what if the dragon was actually trying to hide their young.
