Finally got around to doing something with this. Been wanting to make a gag on the visual similarities between Nintendo's Captain Syrup and my Bonnie Lass. Long story short, I hadn't heard of Syrup until well into full production of the first issue of Bonnie Lass. I was admittedly taken aback when I first saw her on the cover of Wario Land Shake It, but after a bit I realized their similarities are minimal, and most everything they do have in common is just stereotypical, female pirate aesthetics.
Of course, Bonnie is playing Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 on that classic Gameboy, paying no mind to her passing counterpart.
