In the first installment of the series, she solved the murder of her friend Yoko Kojima, and shortly after this events, she opened her own detective agency. Her powers of deduction and intuition are unmatched, and she can solve mysteries that stump even long-time detectives and police officers. Since those early days, she's proven to be a daring and periless crime solver.
