Sonic used to drop the rawest poses back in the Adventure era. Nowadays, the modern sonic model is really unexpressive and the renders are just boring in general; the poses aren't as interesting as wacky or cool as before. This goes back to when the Current era started where sonic was changed to be more "family friendly" or just more marketable except for sonic boom design which was not recieved very well as we all know. This probably scared Sega and they do not wanna innovate anymore, but that's just a theory..... A G
