Today's direct was pretty good. I suspect Pokemon Arceus will might be the base for the 9th gen in the future. I hope there's not many bad surprises, but i feel GF is going through a good path with this game.

About the game, i guess it depends on how well the game might be recieved at release and if people likes the mechanics and gimmicks they applied there. But i wouldn't be surprised if this game was an excuse for GF to experiment with some stuff after the negative reaction SWSH had and see if they can bring something new or improve gameplay in some way for the next gen. That would also explain why the gen 4 remakes are being made by another devs.
