Suddenly got the urge to draw all my major OCs in a single image. Try something a bit ambitious. This actually image marks the first time I've ever sketched out the poses before drawing the characters. Figured it'd be a good idea so I can get a grasp on how the layout would turn out. You can tell it actually had fairly noticeable effect on my style, particularly the proportions.

I think what also added to the general stylistic shift was how I heavily referenced this image. You can especially see it in the hands and squared off fingers. Never found a way to consistently draw either of those in a satisfying way. Don't know if this is much better, but it's worth experimenting.

It's kinda funny, you'd think Scott Pilgrim was a foundational inspiration for Ninjiro with how many parallels you could draw between Ramona and Jen alone, but I only got into the series around the middle of last year after playing the video game. Still, It's definitely proving fairly influential to me now.

I was surprised by how much fun I had drawing this. Always wanted to draw a poster type image featuring all of the major characters for this little story I got, but was too intimidated to try 'til now. Hardest part to nail down was the background, honestly. Wasn't sure what I wanted to aim for there, so I included three variations. I hope you enjoy them and, as always, thanks for viewing.
