Having grown up with Transformers (young me watched so much the first movie that literaly destroyed the vhs copy of my rental store) I can only say well done! I really like it, nice touch with the battle damages!
HO HO HOPE you become a Newgrounds Supporter this year!
We're working hard to give you the best site possible, but we have bills to pay and community support is vital to keep things going and growing. Thank you for considering!
It's Tuesday, you know what that means. Ya boi is dropping that heat.
By now, I've explained the concept of Shattered Glass in Transformers about as well as I could. If you need a refresher, it's in the description of this post, and if you'd like to know more, you should check out the TFWiki entry on it. TL;DR, it's an AU where the Decepticons are good and the Autobots are evil.
The character depicted here is based on God Ginrai. God Ginrai is from the Japanese animated series Transformers: Super-God Masterforce. God Ginrai is actually a mech suit piloted by a young man, confusingly also named Ginrai. This character, and many others from the multiple Japanese sequel series(yes, there's more than one. There are also several movies, iirc) is one sphere of Transformers-related knowledge that evades me. It's a subset fandom within the larger fandom itself. Characters like God Ginrai, Metalhawk and Star Saber can be recognized as "oh, that guy looks/sounds kind of familiar," but not everyone, myself included, knows them. I really only know about God Ginrai because Transformers: Animated emulates his look when Optimus Prime gets a winged jetpack.
So, why all that backstory and explanation?
Well, besides my habit of writing borderline thesis papers in the descriptions of my posts, I think I might be treading new ground with this.
I don't want to preemptively take credit for being the first to come up with this idea. I'm absolutely certain that other people have had this idea before. That being a Shattered Glass version of God Ginrai, which I've cleverly named Devil Ginrai. Because I'm just that clever.
If anyone else has had this idea before, or made fanart, or even just suggested it, please let me know!
I've been drawing machinery even more than usual lately, and I've been having a blast doing so. I hope you all enjoy it!

That’s a staple of childhood. Thank you so much for your kind words! If you like this, check out my other Transformers drawings! I usually upload them on Tuesdays
