There are many poisons that work differently and other effects have with those affected. Some paralyze each other bring you dead, others can kill you, but have the main function to promote you so that the hunter can digest you better.
Again others put one in sleep and others have peculiarities of drugs that make a willless.
My undead Verison from Saria `The toxic flower 'produces poisons all the way into her body and can give this to the glands and other body flies. Since it is an undead on plant -based, it naturally also has characteristics that are known from plants.
