Here is another Original Anime Character, a Portrait of a young beautiful women I call Chieko Daichi, meaning child of intelligence and wisdom of the great land. 

This fine beauty has the rare purple eyes with red hair trait, she may look like one of those typical Red head anime girls with a bad temper but you'll be surprised she is full ideas, wisdom and always seeking new information about the world and people around her.

One thing about this Anime Portrait would be her eyes, sometimes I struggle to come up with a great design for colors but I think this is the best yet I've done, giving myself a pat on the back for that hehe.

Why do I draw traditional Original Anime Characters? Simple, exploring the world of Original Ideas leads to so many ideas when creating a character, yeah it's ok to draw a character from a popular anime series but I rather challenge myself can come up with my own ideas on drawing anime, different hair styles, eye color and shape, her figure height and shape, you name it!

As you can tell I used a wide range of Color markers for Chieko, I used E0000, E000, E21 and E23 for the skin/shadow and tone work. I also used R35, R27, R37 and RV69 for her hair and shadowing. To make highlights like the band across her hair I just used my Colorless lender to lighten things up and added parts to her hair to add lighter areas. For other highlights I used a White Gel pen just to make her hair pop a bit. All in all I thing I used about 31 different copic markers, you may not see all the 31 colors as some are blended together to make the main color darker.
