Tommy little bastard

Share

I'm not english, i'll write in globish
So, i'm a 16 years old guy that isn't studing art, and for me this is my biggest win.
I always loved mechas, robots, gears etc etc, and when i saw all the drawings that there are about mechas, robots and gears i said "woah, i'll never draw something like that ". And yesterday i took my pencil and started drawing this little bastard. It took 2 days of no-stop work, using the pencil, the rubber, and a lot of patience. Actually I'm studing mechanics, so for me it was unacceptable to make a no-working robot: if you look at the arms or at the legs, you'll see that they are made supposing to raise, to lower and to rotate. Well, fu*k the modesty, I'm proud of it.
Anyway, why are you looking at my art?

nice

Interesting piece. Mechanical is hard to get wrong, but to me the pose looks a bit odd. Perhaps a different, more distinctive angle would help. In Photoshop, try turning it into a silhouette but adding the fill filer all black then see if someone can make out what it might be. if they cant, then I'd suggest making it at an angle and pose than can be easily recognizable even if all blacked out. That tends to help your work become more dynamic and its another typical practice with artists in class. silhouettes are important for helping to develop overall form of a figure.

cool

awesome mech.

I'm amazed that how mechs designs work.

It seem that u gave every design a purpose with its cogs and rubbers and levers and so on, keep up with the mechanics.

NicKoLa93 responds:

thanks ;)

awesome !

very intricate and stylish Love the teeth and smokestacks.

Kinda reminds me of the sharkticons from the first transformers movie

NicKoLa93 responds:

:D Holy .... Sharkticons? i wasn't born yet when they come out! but i've searched on google, yeah, they are pretty similiar.. omg i'm so disappointed, i was sure it was an original work... dam, they are almost the same. Gotta draw a better one then.

great!

Great work man,
the gears and stuff are detailed and it´s face show emotion
8 because the lines are a bit blurred

NicKoLa93 responds:

Thanx :D , i don't have a scanner, so i had to take a photo of the original with my cellphone, and i'm not skilled enough to make lines better using only the Gimp.. thanks for the review!
