Drawn in February 2021 as part of the Super Deformuary art challenge.
From Pacific Rim!
Randomly picked from a viewer suggestion, and one I was very happy to draw. Pacific Rim is one of my favorite movies. It was challenging to make a big headed SD version of it while still making it look like the pieces fit. This one took a lot longer than the others had due to all the mechanical detail, and even then, it's still quite reduced and stylized. But even the Gispy Danger Pin-up Girl symbol is there, but I made her Super Deformed too!
Typically for Super Deformed characters, you want to shoot for a height of 2-3 heads tall. But for big characters like giant robots, I think it's ok to go a little bit taller than that, as long as you keep the overall proportions round and wide.

If this were an actual model kit, I would lose it lol. I loved the HG Pacific Rim kits they did when the sequel came out.
