The Keyblade's Chosen One

Share

Done for Jazza's monthly challenge, "Level cap". This is how I imagine Sora in 20 years at "Level 99", effortlessly swirling keyblades around with his mind, killing Heartless, walking around through the realm of darkness, not even needing a cloak or keyblade armor because he is so strong in the light, the absolute strongest Keyblade Master to ever exist. Only some horrible eldritch abomination could ever even hope to touch him.

Dear lord, I haven't done fan art since Technotale, feels good to try it out again, especially with my new (old) tablet ^^

I had a lot of fun with his anatomy as well as the angles of all the different keyblades and the lighting. The background was rushed a lot and I'm not too happy with it, but overall I like this piece. Who knows, maybe some day in the future I'll return to Sora Ultima and do it better. Until then, hope I just did a good enough job to place! So excited! ^^

Also, as the contest rules request, here is a link to a video of me drawing this to prove that it was, indeed, me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LN0vqUFxNU&feature=youtu.be

I was just thinking about the Kingdom Hearts 3 the other day! I really like that you gave him a beard and appreciate his SWOL-ness. I also like how you integrated his normal outfit into an upgraded adult one. You kept certain aspects of the outfit that make it easy to recognize that it's Sora. The blurred key in front is a cool focus effect. Though it is kinda obvious that you cut-and-pasted the light spheres, but overall it's a small detail, since they're not the focus or "main point" of the picture. Background sky is pretty sweet too.

good job
