This is my entry for Jazza's Monthly Challenge June 2017.
After recently watching Elfen Lied I felt inspired to incorporate some of the characters in this month's challenge. It is quiet a dark story and so I thought of recreating these characters in the style of Tim Burton, as this would be a contrast to that of their anime appearance. This anime took me on a roller coaster of emotions, I wanted to try and create this tension and atmosphere in my work. To capture this expression I chose to focus on Kouta and Lucy's emotional struggles.
I used various of traditional art supplies to create this artwork, such as black fine liners, grey led pencil, LYRA coloured pencils, Copic markers, Winsor and Newton markers on a 28cm x 48cm piece of paper.
