Maysozoic Day 26: Albertadromeus

Share

Day 26 brings a dinosaur that is honestly, pretty basic, Albertadromeus. I've never been huge on stuff like Dryosaurus, Camptosaurus or Orodromeus, so this thing isn't really my thing. They aren't bad by any means, I just prefer something meatier, or at least something more decorated. These guys were prey items for many of the predators of Cretacous Alberta, which I can't say is surprising. For colours I just went for the red and green again, as I quite like it.

A small, skittish creature that lives in the forests of mountains, the Albertadromeus often falls prey to some of the smaller predators in their ecosystem. They scurry around the forest floor, eating small shrubs and roots from the ground in relatively large groups. This means that they are ecologically quite important, as they help to keep plant populations in check around the forests and also provide a stable food source for predators, and even human society. Some people farm and breed these dinosaurs to use their eggs and meat for food, so they really are quite valuable
