Day 8 of Maysozoic comes with one that I have been quite excited for after I learned what it was, Eryon. Any of my friends will tell you that some of my favourite animals in the world are crustaceans, be they Crab, Lobster, Shrimp or anything in between, so when I learned that Eryon was in fact a crustacean, I got really excited. And what a charming little fellow he is. He looks as if he's going to ask you to go on an adventure. And how could you possibly refuse. I patterned the colours after the coconut crab, which is my real life favourite crustacean.

Eryon are small crustaceans that live in the shallows around the coast. They forage around on the sea floor, gobbling up any morsels they can get, be they small plants or the left overs of larger animals meals. This helps to clean up the reefs they live in and keep the environment clean and healthy. Their small tails allow them to use quick bursts of speed and even swim short distances. Coastal towns also use them for food, thanks to their abundance, although I'd personally prefer on as a pet as opposed to on a plate.
