Not only is it accurate, but I love the coloring of these video game covers. A very stylized look that I'm into, great art man.

Here's a completed piece of art of Sonic in the Greg Martin/ "American" style back in September. Took a while to shade but I got the hang of it and I'm still quite happy with it. Quite fond of the American Sonic to a degree but I prefer the original interpretation!
