Dragon's Flight

Share

This was a perspective practice but People wanted to see it colored so i went ahead and did a finished piece. GIMP almost crashed on of hours of work so i just called it finished . seems unfinished to me still. PS. this is the 2nd piece i ever edited on a computer program, i should keep practicing to get better at it. Hope you guys like it

Alright Man

There is absolutly nothing wrong with this piece im bein for real! Magneficent dragon! this picture could only be a ten look at this! good work sir!!!!

Woah!

Oh mah gawd, this is awesome! I'm really glad you decided to turn that sketch into a finished piece! It seriously looks really great! I think it's so good that I'm forced to nitpick a bit to try and offer any kind of useful critique on this one.

I dunno how well this would work, but maybe you can try making the dragons farther in the distance a little paler next time, to try to add a bit to the sense of depth. It might give it a little bit of atmosphere too, with a slight sense of haze in the air.

Ramatsu responds:

Ahh, thanx I'll keep that in mind :). There will be a dragon in my next piece be on the look out for it. Thanx for the review bud. And I hit the negative by accident... Fail, and it won't let me change that...(damn iPod)

Awesome.

This turned out really really good!
There are only two things I could see that would make it better, and that's stronger lighting (more shadows and it would be really nice if the colors of the sun were reflected off the dragons) and a little aerial perspective to give the sky and the dragons further in the background a little more depth. Aside from that, your lines are amazing! It's a really great use of perspective. Overall a really solid, pretty successful piece of work, and with a little more practice this would be UNREAL. :D

Ramatsu responds:

yeah I was going to do that to be honest. I did put some lighting of the sun on the dragons but my lame pc started lagging and I wanted to save it before I lost a bunch of hours of work put into this. Luckily after I saved it the program crashed on me lol. Thanx a bunch I got a lot of practice to do Now since I got my tablet it's overwhelming! So many tools I don't know where to start I see what people meant when it takes some getting used to it's not about drawing on it, it about the selection they give you makes it so hard to deal with.

This is my favorite picture you've done so far. The lighting is very beautiful, the colors, lines, everything is on par. I wouldn't be surprised if you could see what the middle dragon ate for lunch earlier. Great job!
