Ninetails + Hitmonchamp = HitNine

Hey Everybody! I am Rayiless, or Dan the Viking on YouTube, and hopefully I did this right... I have tried to upload this five times now and something has gone wrong each time.

So long story short; I found Jazza's channel when it came up on my YouTube video feed and watched a lot of them all at once and over the last few weeks, probably more than I should have. I got inspired by it to work on my own art again and redraw some old character concepts for a web comic I am working on, and wanting to actually make... but that isn't the main point. I eventually saw he had a COTM and decided I would submit art for a competition for the first time ever, YAY! So hopefully it doesn't show too much and the art is too bad.

The piece took me a total of 20 to 30 hours as I had to fight the equipment to make the mashup of Ninetails and Hitmonchamp. It is all made in Photoshop CS 6.0 on my laptop and using the laptops trackpad and crappy basic mouse that I have while I am traveling. So don't judge it too harshly as some of the pieces in this COTM are amazing!

Good luck to everyone, and hopefully this community is friendly as it truly seems as I am trying to get back into art and that, but I always think my stuff is really bad. Even this piece I see lots I want to improve, but feel I can't due to time, tools, skills, or missing the brushes and other important aspects. BUT PRACTICE I SHALL

Good Luck!
