I want to start putting little narrations at the top of my page uploads now because I saw someone else do it and I really liked it. With this page, I tried a new layer structure.

I thought it would make the shading on the lineart and the whole drawing look a bit more harmonious, but in practice it means I had to draw around my own lineart and it made the whole process a lot more intensive and stressful than usual. So with Page 25 I'm returning to basics and improve from there. I feel like that's one appeal from this comic's issue, because you get to see me slowly settle into an artstyle.

I'm almost considering dropping shading, because it looks pretty solid with just the coloured lineart.

I'm not dropping shading, it just goes to show I need to become a lot more aware of how to cel shade drawings. Because upon second thought, I don't want to get into painterly shading, because I find it really hard to be accurate with.

Aside from that, I'm super happy with how fast I was with this upload, like this is the fastest I finished a piece in a while <3 I think after this first issue, I will have hit a nice equilibrium of speed and quality. Though I did skip recovery day for this, and it was fewer characters. Anyway, hope it's enjoyed, and see you the next page <3
