A 2009 re-interpretation of an original anime character I created (which will be uploaded shortly), using a realistic approach - similar to the Heavy Metal art contest submission, for those who remember that. This was born from a 2007 sketch, and I decided to go back and color it, and challenge myself. Working on breadth of my styles at the moment! :)
Hair was, yes, drawn strand-by-strand. Took quite a long time trying to sort the volume out, I think it's still bit messy though. Could probably refine it, but that's for a later time!
