Hey everyone! Newbie here to this website and this contest :) I always watched Jazza's awesome videos and they inspired me to pursue my love of drawing and design. I won't lie, I was a bit scared to enter these contests cause I never thought I could pull anything off. However, this year I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and chase after fast flowing rivers of opportunities :D

The reasoning behind my coloring choice is that, I wanted to create the glow for the woman as she is a ghost. Her heart beats with the same color as his tattoos. He has blood on him and the cross where she lays, from the battles he has fought. From his attire, he is a man who has a fighting style of CQC possibly the reason of camouflage and no weapons. The colored souls are floating about in search for their loss ones and looking down at their lovers. Tragedy and mourning hangs in the air, heavy with despair...

For this entry, I thought of giving my coloring scheme a twist by playing around with florescent and blacklight also cause I have limited art supply :/ I used some sharpie, 3 copics, a standard faber castell pencil coloring box of 36, 4 highlighters to lay out the colors and after a DIY convert your phone's flash into blacklight method later was able to produce that :D

I'm not entirely satisfied with it, however, I'm happy I did something out of my comfort zone actually many somethings :D
