Observation Log 37

Reality Variant: Mobius

Subjects: Sonic the Hedgehog, Amy Rose

This particular reality seems to diverge slightly in the time of reunion between various prime couples. This clear example show Sonic and Amy reuniting in a colder season versus Tails and Cream during a warmer time. While this does not appear to affect any aspects of the event, we must still remain wary of any fluctuations for fear of a Chaos outbreak.

Sonic walked, yes, walked down the path towards Mobotropolis. For the first time in his life, Sonic was taking the journey slower on its last leg. He had to admit though, he was a bit annoyed that it had taken him so long to get back since Tails had returned months ago. It was already Christmas time and the snow was definitely coming down. He vibrated a little bit to keep his heat up, perks to being super fast is you can be really fast even in small amounts. The snow wasn't falling tonight but there was definitely a layer of it on the ground. "The Road Sweeper's must be working overtime if the street's this clean." He laughed at his own little quip but he still smiled and kept on walking.

Sonic spotted a bridge a ways off, it was a landmark for the edge of Mobotropolis and it showed. The trees were now decorated with Christmas lights, and he smiled at the memory of his times with the freedom fighters, someone would always decorate a tree in their own unique way. The hedgehog looked and smirked, some trees had the typical Christmas lights stringed around them, while others simply had all of what you could call knick-knacks strewn all over them. It was enough to bring a sense of nostalgia back to the blue blur.

Sonic had already reached the bridge when a soft gasp was heard behind him. He turned around to see a pink visage he had only dreamed of for the last ten years. Amy Rose had leaned out from behind a tree a bit of the path, somehow she had snuck up to it without him hearing. Her face was a mixture of emotion; relief, pain, happiness, and only the smallest hint of desire. "Sonic...?" Her voice was almost a whisper. "It's really you..." Tears were in her eyes as she slowly approached him, her shoes almost scuffed through the snow in her trance. "When Tails came back alone...." She sniffled and had to stop herself from weeping. "I feared the worst... I could only hope to see you soon and...." Sonic had been struck speechless. "He said you were alive but...." She now stood directly in front of him and their hands gravitated towards each other almost naturally.

"Amy..." Was all that escaped from the blue hedgehog's mouth, he didn't know what to expect from the years that had passed by, but they had been kind to his childhood friend. There was a small amount of worry and blush as the hero's thoughts recalled how he looked, though such thoughts were immediately blasted by the smile on Amy's face. She didn't care how he looked at all, scars and everything, she had always loved him for him.

The stupefied blue hedgehog and the relieved pink hedgehog were stuck staring into each others eyes for what felt like an hour before they managed to speak words again. Such words were of the past and present, with a scant few telling of the future. Mobius already would see much peace with the heroes endeavors, but now what would the future hold for those friends reunited.
