I think the character sprites are fantastic,along with the objects, though i think the realism and detail is working against you here, maybe shoot for more surreal scenery on some things, I find Yume Nikki's simplistic graphics gave it kind of an "Earthbound" feel to it, made it more dreamlike. That isn't to say that the spritework isn't imppecable, though, it's super wicked!

Looks dope! Love the vibe, definitely nailed Yume Nikki.
