This one spawned from a joke about my Paldea Gardevoir being a sadist:

I ran into a shiny Kirlia in area two while streaming my first run of scarlet in area two I think. The Kirlia proceeded to fold my Primape, Crocalor and Staravia all while breaking out of everything I threw at it. Luckily my Tinkatuff walled the blood thirsty little monster long enough for me to actually catch it. Caught in the first luxury ball I threw after running out of pokeballs and great balls.

My friend joked about her finally gracing me with the privilege after determining she'd be able to cause more suffering if she traveled and me finally providing suitable accommodations.

Suffering the gardevoir brought:

Replacing the pokeballs she broke left me without money for a while

Primeape's heart attack, death and resurrection

Very regularly critical hit things I was planing catching

Intentionally missing hypnosis on the Larvitar I decided to fill my 6th slot with, thus further attacking my wallet

Wasn't all bad though since I did avoid a few loses thanks to her and I later learned she was the maximum possible size when my friend told me about the NPC that checks that.

I'll go into details on how fucking annoying those frills on the head are to make next time.
