Tied
This work gives me the vibes Pre-Raphaelite artists give me. I wont dig deep into the meaning behind the work since it was done free form. The detail is wonderful, having a more concrete outline with non human objects (the leaves and branches for example) and an abstract outline for the human body (perhaps to show the slip from reality due tot the situation the human finds itself in.) The spots on the female body slightly disturb me for some reason, no idea if you meant them as shadows or something else, regardless it is a nice touch. The feeling of despair is oozing out of this...huh is she tied to the other body? I know i didnt want to find meaning behind this but perhaps she wants to break away from the other human. I love this painting overall, the different feelings it gives (mystical, despair, slightly-disturbing) are all executed flawlessly and the details given just ace this (the details on the clothe is just amazing.) Really great stuff
Y'know..
Y'know..seeing this work still exist is -really- invigorating. I'm no Art Dealer or anything, but, I love a piece that has the ability to give multiple perceptions. Like this? To me? I see..a kimono..a girl laid down near a pool with what looks like some kind of Nymph. She's bared, so, obviously must be comfortable with the creature or the area. It's a young woman...going to have to say:
Makes me think the woman is sick of being a puppet to other people's whims. IE: Ancient Japanese women had very little rights. So, why wouldn't she run to a pool where a Fey-ish character lives? "Save Me" Sounds a lot more like "Take me away."
Anyways, job very well done. You should be proud of yourself.
Thank you, indeed I am very proud- but more so happy to know that my work can be appreciated
The senses
Lots of despair and a hint of horror is coming out of this painting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but she's pregnant isn't she?
Man, that's gotta suck.
And there's a corpse right there too.
Leaves an empty crevice in my soul...
Thank you, well that was the first to hear that one, well she isn't pregnant and the person in water is in fact alive... but to know and listen to your comment intrigues me.
With this painting and the others... I have received a wide range of comments, that motivates me to keep painting. I paint what comes to me, from my world, and the result is this- but for the viewer, it excites me to know what was triggered.
I.... uhhh
I'll save you :I
