I remember Maximo! Ghosts To Glory and Army of Zin were the best games in the Ghosts N' Goblins series. More manageable difficulty, cooler characters and even a better story. It still sucks that we've never gotten a third game but maybe someday.
My heart always rejoices to see Maximo fanart, but yours is one of the best I've ever seen. It simultaneously captures Maximo's design while translating it to the retro anime style. One of the things I love about my favorite anime designs is how insanely detailed they are, and this goes along with them. My favorite is the 3 keys or vials or whatever on his left side.
Bravo. Please draw more art in this style whenever you feel like it, especially if they feature Maximo or other characters from his games. I think that all the Maximo ladies (the sorceresses, Sophia, Tinker and Elizabet) are beautiful so you can't go wrong with choosing one.
