What's a 2017 X Mario without his own subterfuge variant?? Also i thought of a little lore for this!

It was a cold winter night, and there was a dude that was bored as hell... He was doing stuff on his pc but then, an idea reached his mind... He wanted to emulate NSMBDS on his pc, so he went to his favorite roms website and downloaded an emulator with the rom for the game, some minutes passed and he set-up the emulator, he was ready for some classic mario fun! So he booted the rom on the emulator and started to play... Except he wasn't playing at all, he was looking at the title screen and its options like a total idiot... But then another idea reached his mind, even if it was more of a thing to screw around a bit, he saw the Mario vs Luigi option on the menu and selected it (even though he knew that the mode doesn't work in single player), everything was normal, and he chose Luigi as the playable character because he was his favorite character in the series, after he selected Luigi there was the classic "wait for the other player" screen, he kinda waited for a bit and strangely... Someone joined the game? His username was straight-up just Mario... The dude saw this and as the idiot he is, thought that that was an epic glitch or something so he opened up obs and started recording the screen, then after a bit there was the stage select screen that selected the ice stage, strangely enough that choice wasn't made by the dude like the game intended (because he's the host), but it looked like someone else controlled it, the other player named "Mario" perhaps?... The dude only thought he was having a vision, so after some second the match began, Luigi came out from the pipe like usual, but there was a... Problem? Every enemy or object was gone and there wasn't no music at all! The dude then started running around the stage while playing as Luigi until he reached Mario's location

Something was off.

Mario's model looked way different than usual, his cap was gone, and he wasn't wearing his signature outfit but instead a... White shirt? Not to mention that Mario looked pale as heck compared to Luigi.

"Mario" wasn't doing anything in the stage, he was just standing there, until the dude made Luigi approach him slowly... After a bit Mario turned around and said "Oh Brother...I was waiting for you! Got a little tiny question for you...Do you want to play?" after that he started to chase Luigi like a madman, while the stage and even a part of the dude's desktop were kinda melting away and becoming more red...

After an intense chase "Mario" and Luigi stopped, Mario looked as he was watching the dude through the screen and said "Nice computer you got here! Can i have it?" Then looks like "Mario" pulled out two objects from his inventory... A mega mushroom and a fire flower and....Took them both at the same time?? That's like breaking Mario logic! The screen then freezes as "Mario" transformed in this gigantic melted beast... The screen remained still for like some minute or such, but then it got back to working... The stage was unrecognizable, what once was a winter-like landscape is now red and totally melted away, filled with flames... Luigi wasn't even there anymore and that melted beast that previously was here, was at the center of the screen, and looked like he was looking the dude through the screen as earlier.

After some minutes he said "See you next time! Bye bye!" with a rather terrifying voice, then the emulator closed itself and the pc started to have a series of crashes and bugs until it went off... The dude in all of this was so damn confused, like he didn't expect something like this for only trying something stupid... And remember guys! Never try to play NSMBDS Mario vs Luigi on emulator at night!

The end, yeah i know that probably doesn't have anything to do with the original 2017 X, but i just wanted to have fun while writing it, and i hope it shows! (ALSO BIG CREDITS TO THE ONES WHO RIPPED THE NSMBDS SPRITES!!)
