i remember pokemon insurgence did something like this too where it was like regional variants of the regis. Registeel was molten metal and was a fire type, regice melted and was water, and regirock was a ground type and was sand.

I like these designs better then the og’s also I think it’d make sense if they were there og types but with dark or ghost add to them
