over a year ago i posted a concept piece for a comic i wanted to make. well now its been made!

the more esoteric aspects of theology have always been interesting to me, especially end-times eschatology. The initial idea that inspired this comic was "what if humans fucked up so bad that that they destroyed themselves before either god or satan could?"

my original draft was going to be much longer (also more serious in tone), and at the rate i was doing the layouts it would've probably broke 30 pages, but i lost steam and ended up scrapping that version. i was also very close to naming it lightbringer as a translation of the name lucifer, blissfully unaware of the existence of linkara until someone pointed out that whole situation to me. i dodged a nuclear bomb

back in April 2023, i was invited to make a comic for an anthology zine called storyboard, i decided to dig up this idea and finally put it to paper. the zine limited participants to 10 pages, as well as a very short time limit, which was a good challenge for me. making comics alongside so many other people was also a lot of fun

and before anyone asked yes the cover art was inspired by oppenheimer
