YOU SEE THE FLOOD!?!?!>

The friday flood is an old Art forum activity where a bunch of artists use the same thumbnail and theme and flood the portal.

the thread can be found here hopefully our little flood can start building more momentum for new ones. check out the other artist's post because they'll be way cooler than mine.

I had three other way bigger sketch ideas down for the flood, but no time do any of them, so I threw together a lil scribble that fit the theme. Next time I'll work smarter.

I love egoraptor?!

It is a bit of a trickle instead of a flood isnt it, but thats to be expected after it being so long since the last one. Gotta build that forum rapport.

the composition and gesture are swell, though im docking you half a star for not noticing that the velociraptors scythe claw is like a thumb, always on the inside. how DARE you mess up dinosaur anatomy. The science note theme was a good choice and that "fig 3" script is like literally 1:1 perfect text for such a theme.

oh also his boot kind of loses legibility and looks like a weewee. mind your tangents. - 0.5 stars.

Gotta trickle before you unleash a mighty stream. Anyway, oddly enough I tried really hard to remember where the big claw goes, but — you see— I am really dumb and fucked it up anyway. Ay I see the flood. Ferocious raptor you got there. I wish I could read the Captain's name btw. Nice idea to add the "fig. 3" and text like it was an actual historical note. It's just a bit difficult to make out some details here and there. The velociraptor anatomy looks great though.

Thank you, Lu. It’s “Fleischer” I figured I’d be remiss if I didn’t throw in some German flair on it. I didn’t have time to really render something out so I figured gotta take as many aesthetic support notes as I could with the “fig 3” and the old notebook look I might just pull it off!
